What this website does not do

This website sets no cookies, uses no analytics or tracking, embeds no third-party content and has no contact form. Fonts and images are served from this website itself.

Hosting and server logs

This website is hosted on GitHub Pages, a service of GitHub, Inc., 88 Colin P. Kelly Jr. Street, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. When you open a page, GitHub processes technical data that your browser transmits, including your IP address, the date and time of the request, the page requested, and your browser type, in order to deliver the website and keep the service secure. I do not have access to these logs and do not combine this data with any other data.

The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR: my legitimate interest in making this website available reliably and securely. This involves a transfer of data to the United States. GitHub is certified under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework. Details are in the GitHub Privacy Statement.

Contacting me

If you contact me by email, I process the details you provide in order to answer your enquiry. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR or, where your enquiry concerns a contract, Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR. I delete the correspondence once it is no longer needed, unless the law requires me to keep it.

External links

This website links to my LinkedIn profile. No data is sent to LinkedIn unless you follow the link; LinkedIn’s own privacy policy then applies.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access the personal data held about you, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict its processing, to object to processing, and to data portability. To exercise these rights, email contact@kobussmit.com.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority.
